Sinopsis

En la futurista Metro City, una extraordinaria ciudad suspendida en el cielo, el brillante Doctor Tenma crea un robot, Astro Boy, a semejanza de su hijo, al que acaba de perder en un terrible accidente. El Doctor dota a su creación de los mejores valores y características del ser humano, a la vez que de increíbles superpoderes. Astro Boy recibirá un duro golpe cuando se entere de que no es un ser humano, sino un robot, y que es imposible que pueda reemplazar al hijo desaparecido del Doctor. Tras huir de la casa paterna, Astro Boy vivirá innumerables aventuras y deberá enfrentarse con el militarista Presidente Stone, que ansía el “Núcleo Azul”, una inagotable fuente de energía alojada en el pecho del niño-robot.
